Thank You Workman's Comp...

So what happens to a borderline ADD/anal retentive/possibly OCD inclined/workout-aholic, 28 year old male who gets made to stay home from work because of a shoulder injury? I believe I have the perfect specimen laying on my couch. Thank you Workman's Comp for taking my driven, excited-about-life husband and turning him into...well, whatever this is. Isn't this the dream? Wouldn't a large percentage of the population love to be on Workman's Comp to enjoy a soda, some chips and maybe a few good movies??? Apparently we weren't cut out for this lifestyle. For all of you who consider yourself praying people, send one up for us PLEASE. : )

In all honesty I do have to thank WC for allowing my husband the freedom to grow facial hair...it's brilliant!

Play-Doh, Carrots and Cereal...

Josh and I have been having a lot of fun with our little ones lately. They are just so funny! I was looking back through photos from this week and thought I should post some highlights that made us laugh.

This is Izzy's newest favorite thing. When she's wearing anything that zips she will unzip it until it reaches the bottom and then lift the zipper over her little face until its balancing on her head. Then she turns her head really fast from side to side and laughs...?...It is pretty great to see in real life though.



Mason went outside the other day and built a snowman all by himself. It was so cute. He was proud of it.



Why is it that when you tell a boy he can do anything he wants for a photo, he will inevitably be destructive???





Just one of the joys of motherhood is getting to do things that you used to love as a child for hours and hours and hours on end...One such experience took place yesterday for nearly 3 hours! Mason wanted me to post a picture so everyone could see. We made tons of things, but his favorite was our plate of food, with a Mommy, Daddy, a Mason and a little sister consequently named Izzy. He threw a cat in there (which we definately don't have) and a sun...I am officially Play-Dohed out.



So, to catch you up to this morning...my littlest one decided that the bowl of oatmeal and the apple she had eaten were not enough. She saw Daddy eating and wanted in on the action. We laughed SO hard. Every time he leaned in for a bite she closed her eyes and opened her mouth as wide as it would go...


I WANNA BITE!

Thank you to all my friends and family who have been praying this project through for us. Josh and I are so excited to see where this goes. In a few weeks the book will be available on amazon and at www.coacheschoice.com. I will keep the blog updated as other locations open up. There are several books stores in Salt Lake that will hopefully be carrying it. The school systems appear to be a great avenue for distribution as well. And of course the book will be at the PGA show in Florida at the end of the month and at the PGA show in Vegas in September. We have several other people out pedaling the book for us too...Guess we just have to watch God move! Our first book signing will be on January 18th, yay. For the next two to three weeks the only way to get the book is through me, so just let me know if you are interested. It is $14.95 and is written for kids approximately 8-12 years old.

Happy New Year!!

Well I hope you all managed to stay up like we did and usher in the new year. Although I have to admit the older we get it seems to be getting harder to stay up that late. Well not really...we're still pretty young, I'm just trying to make our older audience feel better about themselves. We hung out with friends and watched the ball drop in Times Square, it was fun and relaxing. Amber and I both are looking forward to starting off a new year. Our last year definetly had it's challenges. Let us review shall we... It started out with our car getting wrecked and totalled, then we had another surgery for poor Amoo, our shower broke which led to a full bathroom remodel, then our dishwasher broke, followed by our washing machine, followed by our furnace, followed by our hot water heater, and now following shortly behind will be our dryer. We got slapped with unexpected adoption expenses and even served with papers to be in court over unpaid bills.(Which was their mistake) Medical problems kind of continued for most of last year and still have not been resolved but are getting better. I injured my shoulder at work several months ago and finally visited a doctor so I'm now dealing with workers comp and am currently being held out of work until the problem is solved.(I am getting paid however) My Xbox 360 even broke and had to be sent in for repairs, can you believe it? Our problems seemed to never end this last year. Through it all we have learned a lot and experienced some truly wonderful things. The grace showed to us from our family when times got tough was incredible. We have two amazingly beautiful, healthy kids. Mason started Kindergarten and we got to celebrate Jasmine's first birthday. Amber and I have refocused our lives and are looking forward to big changes in the up and coming year. Her book is hot off the press and we should be getting about 150 copies this next week to start distributing and marketing. Don't worry you will all be getting some very soon. :-) We both feel there are only good things to come. God has a plan for us...we can feel it!!
