So It's Been A While...

So let's see where do I start? The last month has been very, very, busy so how about some random thoughts about what's been going on... I've covered thousands of miles and several states. Made a little money and spent a lot more. Watched my little brother graduate from law school and will soon be watching my son graduate from kindergarten. The flowers are blooming and the grass is green and summer is just around the corner. I'm watching my daughter grow up a little each day and not a day goes by that she doesn't make me laugh. Recently visited a place where a good friend grew up. I will soon be headed north to visit the place I grew up and still call home. I was in Montana when the house I call home was built and I'll be in Montana when the house I call home will be sold. My dad used to kick my but in Ping Pong and now I kick his (occasionally) and kick Matthew's on a regular basis. It's been over ten years ago my brother and I lived together and now we are back under the same roof. I used to pick on him quite a bit when we were younger and now he inspires me. He has accomplished so much whether he realizes it or not. I'm sure he could pick on me now if he chose to, although, I know I can out run him. In Florida a couple of weeks ago was the first time in about three years all of us Sellers' siblings were together. It was really nice. I have a picture that I will post when we all first saw each other. My sister was as beautiful as ever. Might I ad she also inspires me. Her dedication to family and God is something I truly admire, she is a great mom, sister and maybe a wife...I'd have to ask Shane that one. He might not always agree! It's amazing how life goes, three independent kids living three different lives in three different parts of the country pursuing three differnt careers. It all started on 30 acres in western Montana, who knew?? Well as life goes I'm sure we'll all be together again soon, or at least I will hope and pray for that. Until that day the sun will continue to rise and fall, the stars will shine, Obama will save the country from a depression, the middle east will continue to be in unrest and violence and the Cleveland Cavs, Indians, and Browns will never cease to suck and throw away great opportunites. Thank you all, I love you and wish you all a great afternoon.

Sorry Been Busy

Hey all just wanted to give you all an update. Sorry we've been neglecting our blog, life has just been busy lately. Things are going well. Family is all good, kids are healthy and having fun. The weather has been beautiful so we've been doing a lot of work outside the house. Feel sorry for my wife...I've been working her hard and I think she's about ready for a divorce. I have to choose between her and my yard....hmmm whatever shall I do?? Haha I'm getting ready for a busy month ahead. My travels are going to take me from Logan, UT to St. George the next week to Jacksonville FL after that...soon to be followed by Idaho Falls and Missoula!! We are also working on plans to make it to the great mid-west state of Missouri to see some backwoods hill-billy relatives of ours that live there. But we'll see, we'll just keep trying! The photo biz is going well. Amber is keeping busy with a few shoots a week and we are currently working on a website. Starting Over

Well the computer is fixed. It survived it's suicide attempt but not without a pricy stay in the ICU. We managed to save all of our data for the most part, however, we lost some software programs. Oh well it's only money, I needed a fourth job anyway. We have a lot of new stuff to post so hopefully it won't be to much longer. Some basement photo's and our recent trip to Boise, ID.

MAYDAY! MAYDAY! MAYDAY!

So I'm making this post at work because our home computer had to be rushed into the ER at Best Buy's Geek Squad. I guess it was displaying the blue screen of death so I'm told. Either way it won't turn on or do anything so we'll see what they find out. I guess it's only fitting because we wrote so many depressing things on it this last year about everything else that was going wrong maybe it decided to take it's own life. It just couldn't deal with saving data and running software programs anymore. So please keep our HP Pavilion in your prayers. She holds a lot of data that we would like to get back and really don't want to lose forever into the cyber abyss.

A Different Perspective

To go along with the new studio and trying to really make it a go with photography...Josh and I bought a new lens. It's a 15mm fisheye that we've been needing for a long time. We have some great stock photography ideas and with Josh's love for landscapes, it's long overdue. We got it Thursday. And as of this morning it hadn't left the box. We've both been busy. Today I would have loved to take it down to the Cathedral of The Madeline, or scout out some of my favorite downtown scenes. But, as it is I am a stay at home mom. So I decided to make the best of what I had to work with as far as "subjects" go. And who are my best little accomplices?...my babies! I went on a little photo journey of my own, around my own home. I followed the kids for the afternoon to see things from their level. It was interesting, eye opening, and really hilarious. I did have to break a few rules that I laid for myself when I started. For example, I put down the camera to stop Jasmine from eating dog food, playing in the toilet, tearing all the clothes out of the drawer and trying to kill herself with my metal pan that weighs more than she does. Aside from those things...here was our day.

Big brother to the rescue! I don't even have to say anything. He heard her messing around in the frig and he came running to save the day. Just one of the many benefits of living with an anal child.

So that was our day in a nutshell. I wish I could've put up all the photos. I laughed more today than I have in a long time. And it's just a guess, but I think I probably got better shots than I would have anywhere else in the Salt Lake Valley.

Shifting Gears

So a few things going on worth talking about. To start we are moving things around in the basement to make them more accomidating for a move. That's right...one of our little kiddos is moving down stairs! The room sharing thing isn't working out to well anymore so we are going to make the change. We are going to be doing some painting and putting down some new carpet. Well, new used carpet that is. Some white carpet from the inlaws that's in great shape to replace the hall and downstairs bedroom. We don't know which one for sure yet but Mason being the big brother that he is has volunteered to make the move and "see how it goes." We'll be sure to install plenty of nightlights!
We have had to change our focus a bit on the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. Do to some issues that we have been unable to resolve we are officially going to pass on the RMSP this summer. Sorry to all of you who were expecting us for a few months this summer. Things just didn't work out. But on a bright note we have expanded our search for education and found another amazing school that comes with great recommendation. It's located in Santa Fe, NM and runs workshops and classes all year long. There classes are one week at a time and cover a huge range of topics taught by many of todays published and professional greats. So we are looking into some of those for this summer. You can view the website just Google Santa Fe Workshops. It's pretty cool. As always we continue to move forward. ;-)
We have also taken a big step forward with our photography biz. We now have a studio in downtown Salt Lake City. (We'll post some pictures soon) And we are pushing forward with the business. Opening accounts and everything...yup we're real offical. So stand by because the Jag Photo Blog will be getting a facelift. Peace out all!!
